Partner Chartered Accountant

Gareth boasts a wealth of knowledge, which he has gained over the years and can now offer to his clients. Qualifying in 2006 as a Chartered Accountant, Gareth worked as a Financial Manager for a global group of energy and petrochemical companies and also assisted in the start up of a successful accounting firm prior to Finance Spec. Gareth is an avid sports and family man. His motto is simple: Everything at a fast pace, lift your game, keep up and stick with us!
    
Partner Chartered Accountant

Damon qualified as a Chartered Account in 2006 and has held several management roles over the course of his professional career, which includes industries such as Print/Media, Steel, Property and Finance. Damon has experience with medium sized family owned companies to large JSE listed firms. He is a family man who loves to play golf when he can. He maintains his passion for rugby since his early days of captaining in Glenwood High School, by playing for the Crusaders today as a flank.

Company Manager

Sam qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2008. She served her articles at PKF Durban, where she stayed on for a year as an Audit Manager. Sam then lived in London for four years where she worked at PKF (UK) LLP as a Technical Training Manager. On return to South Africa at the end of 2011, she worked as the Financial Manager for a listed electrical wholesaler. Sam has two beautiful children who she enjoys spending time with.

Erika has extensive experience in administration for almost 20yrs. Including, but not limited to HR , Payroll, Client Services, Creditors and Debtors  and with a Certificate in Executive Secretarial Studies. She is passionate about her job and finds pride in the work she delivers.
Personal Assistant to Damon Pronk

Jane is a strong, compassionate, outgoing and independent woman.
Her interests include dancing, music and socializing. She loves spending quality time with her friends and family.  Jane's past work experience in the agricultural environment as well as
hard work and dedication has made her who she wanted to be today.

Sam has a passion for taxation and the fast paced kick that comes with it. She has been working in the accounting and taxation environments for more than 11 years with a vast range of experience within and around the running of a productive Tax Department. Sam is driven by giving the best service possible and tackling a challenge is something she finds motivating.

Michelle has worked in a number of fields from the Motor Industry to Corporate Gifts & Events. She has a Diploma in Graphic Design & Digital Publishing. She enjoys painting, loves the outdoors and spending time with her family and friends.  She is always up for a challenge and to experience
new things.

Tax Consultant

Jennai has been part of the Finance Spec Team for just over a year now and she has fitted in with ease. She enjoys tackling individual tax queries and with 9 years’ experience in her back pocket in the Tax and Payroll fields, she is always ready to assist and give SARS a run for their money. Jennai enjoys nothing more than spending time with her friends and family and most of all her adorable Bulldog, Titan.

Cornelia, also known as Corrie has
9 years’ experience in financial accounting and taxation, and takes pride in working efficiently, accurately and diligently. She enjoys travelling, experiencing new things and drinking good coffee.

Audit Manager

Mandy, served her Articles for 5 years and completed them in 2014. She has recently completed her BCom degree through UNISA and is passionate about furthering her studies. Mandy is a family orientated person and enjoys a good braai with family and friends.
Drafting Department Manager

Daryn completed 5 years articles in December 2015 and is dedicated to obtaining the CA (SA) title. He is passionate about accounting and auditing as well as ensuring that the client receives excellent customer service. Daryn is very family orientated and enjoys spending downtime with his wife, family and friends.

Ryan has completed his Articles, partially at BDO, and obtained his BCompt (Honours)(CTA) through UNISA in 2010. He has also shown a flare for computer technology, having partially completed a BSc in Computer Science before crossing over to Accounting. Ryan is still keenly pursuing the dream of qualifying as a CA (SA).

Tyron joined Finance Spec’s Audit Team in April 2016. He completed his Degree in Financial management in 2014, he has since worked in the finance industry for over 2 years. He enjoys the pressure associated with the financial industries deadlines.

Suzaan completed her Bcom CA degree at the North West University in 2013.
She also completed her SAICA articles in 2016, since she has been registered as an associate with SAICA- AGA(SA) in 2017. She loves the outdoors and sailing.

Kalena completed her Bcom CA degree at the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal in 2011 and PGDA Honours in 2012. Currently she is studying a Masters in Accounting at the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal.
She also Completed her SAICA articles and registered as an associate with SAICA- AGA(SA) in 2017.
She loves reading, family time and puppies.

Candice is one of Finance Spec's Senior Bookkeepers and has a wealth of experience in the Entertainment, Hospitality and Financial sectors. She completed her BCom (Fin Man) at UNISA in 2009. As a youngster Candice and her brother both competed in BMX racing, her brother went on to gain a world ranking in his world career, but she chose the wise route of professional accounting.

Susan joined Finance Spec’s Bookkeeping Team in August 2016.
She has over 15 years bookkeeping experience in the Corporate and Hospitality Industry, both locally and abroad, during which time she obtained various Diplomas in Bookkeeping and Practical Accounting.

Chantal joined Finance Spec on the 23rd January 2017. She has 17 years bookkeeping experience in Retail,
Wholesale and IT sectors and has obtained certificates & diplomas relative to the bookkeeping field.  She enjoy’s reading and spending time with family and friends.

Bookkeeper

Sherryl joined the Finance Spec team in August 2017. She has 8 years’ experience in bookkeeping with most of her time being spent in the Accounting field as well as a short time in Manufacturing.
Sherryl is busy studying towards her BCOMPT degree, she enjoys the challenge accounting brings. Sherryl loves to spend time with her family and enjoys the outdoors.

Laura joined the Finance Spec team in April 2017. She has worked in the financial field for 7 years and is currently completing her Bachelor of Accounting Science through UNISA. Her background includes financial services, the printing and retail industry. Her passion for accounts and new challenges is the reason for being in an accounting practice environment. She spends most of her spare time with her children, family and friends having a braai or playing card games.

Mari is a loving, kind person. Her interests are being active, nutrition and cooking. She comes from an auditing and bookkeeping background mainly in the Construction and Engineering industry.  She enjoys spending time with her family, friends, loves the outdoors and her cat, Apple. Since joining Finance Spec she has started working towards completing her CIMA qualification.

Sharene is an all-rounder at Finance Spec. She has worked in many diverse environments from Corporate, Construction and Engineering. She loves a challenge and is always keen on learning more. Sharene loves walking, reading and spending time with her family whom she holds dear to her heart.

overseas for several of years after completing her diploma in PC Engineering and studying Sports management in the UK. She has worked across a wide spectrum of industries and has been working in the accounting sector for the past 8 years.

Chris was a Regional Manager for Nedbank, Coming from the Financial Sector with over 34 years of experience. He started mountain biking with Gareth's encouragement, being an avid mountain biker himself. It's important to note that dynamite comes in small packages, so don't ever let your accounts get overdue.

Nicola started working with Finance Spec since March 2015. She has extensive administrative experience,  having worked in the Finance, Recruitment and Music industries in various positions, gaining her valuable experience. Nicola is dedicated, hardworking and always willing to learn.

Rolland hails from Harare where he attained his Marketing Diploma. He worked as a document clerk for the then famous OK Bazaars and came to South Africa in 2007. He's worked predominantly in the Hospitality and Call centre industries and today is responsible for getting us and our documents safely to and from their destinations.
